David came to us with the idea for an improved “door jammer,” and we developed Securadoor into a product well ahead of the competition. Operated with one hand, it pre-loads the door via a rotating handle mechanism, is made from ultralight aviation-grade aluminium, and has a tested load rating of 1,700 lbs—all in a sleek, high-quality design. David went on to sell it on Amazon, earning hundreds of positive reviews.

Covid Saliva Test

Our client developed a rapid, low-cost saliva-based test for COVID-19. We were tasked with designing both the single-use test device and the supporting test infrastructure for large-scale deployment in developing countries. The solution included a clever mechanism for sequentially transferring precise fluid volumes between chambers, ensuring accuracy and reliability in challenging environments.

Schamburg & Alvisse T2 Tub Chair

The T2 Tub Chair presented the challenge of creating an upholstered tub chair without using adhesives. In collaboration with an expert upholsterer, we designed a wire subframe that allowed the concave interior fabric to be pulled taut against the curves—without glue or any visible indication of the hidden support. The result was a first-in-class chair with strong eco-friendly credentials.

Schamburg & Alvisse Molly & SPWY

Stop Playing With Yourself was a large-scale puzzle exhibit designed to promote collaborative play among team members. The Miss Molly plywood chairs were developed in multiple variations—veneer or upholstered, lounge or task chair, and sled-legged or four-legged versions. I was deeply involved in both the design of Miss Molly and the transition to production, including spending time on the shop floor, troubleshooting the manufacturing process.

Goldline Cooktop

We worked with a local appliance manufacturer to reinvent their range of gas cooktops, designing a spacious four-burner model in a 900 mm width. Unique in the marketplace, it features two high-power burners and illuminated knobs that clearly indicate flame status.

Asset Electrical Coldoom Integrated Display

Our client, an industrial refrigeration electrician, identified an opportunity to simplify coldroom installations, which typically require numerous separate alarms, sensors, and safety features. We integrated many of these functions into a single, unified display panel, adding capabilities while reducing overall cost

Imaxeon/Bayer CT Scan Contrast Delivery

I was involved in the early stages of the Medrad/Imaxeon contrast CT injector development, helping define breakthrough advancements in the technology. My contributions led to patentable, differentiating features. The resulting Centagro injector received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both users and the market, scoring a big success for our client.

We collaborated with Petco on their Reddy range of kibble containers. Building on the initial design direction, we enhanced the product experience with a robust, practical design: an airtight, single-hand twist-on/off lid, a large-capacity, stackable container, and the versatility to stand in multiple orientations. Petco delivered a high-quality, contemporary-looking product that was a hit in the pet world.

Wireless Pet Sensor

We developed a wireless sensor monitoring system for clinical veterinary use, enabling remote tracking of patient vitals. A tail-mounted sensor communicates with a collar-mounted transmitter, continuously monitoring pulse, oxygen saturation, and temperature, with data uploaded to a local server and displayed on a proprietary dashboard.
